OUR CODE

A little wonder. A little respect.

Our code: care for the craft, its creators, and the people who make an audience.

Keep the credit attached.

Ideas have histories and creators. We name sources, link to legitimate instruction, and encourage you to buy directly from creators or authorized publishers. A performance online is not permission to reproduce its routine.

Learn with intention.

Our method lessons focus on traditional principles, mathematical effects, and original performance exercises. Explanations and practice prompts are written for this site. Methods sit behind a deliberate disclosure so visitors can enjoy an effect before choosing to learn.

Respect commercial work.

For commercial decks, modern routines, and published techniques outside our traditional-method lessons, we describe the effect or a study approach and point to legitimate sources. We do not reproduce paid instruction or someone else’s script.

Give the audience the gift of surprise.

Do not expose a method during another magician’s performance or to an audience that has not asked to learn. Share a performance link, invite curiosity, and let your friend decide whether to take the next step.

Practice before you perform.

Choose a willing audience. Be kind to volunteers. Never present a mistake as the spectator’s fault. Mentalism here is theatrical entertainment, not a claim of supernatural powers or a way to make consequential decisions.

Keep learning.

Credits can become more precise as research grows. Our resource directory includes references for following the history of an idea back to its published sources.
